Boosterism and Civic Pride in Atlanta: Union Station and the Dixie Terminal, 1925-1930.

This article looks at city booster’s attempts in the 1920s to replace the aging Union Station and to build a new and modern station. I also examine later efforts to build a cold storage warehouse on the same site. Overall, the article looks at the conflicts between civic boosters and the realities of engineering and economics.
